Starting May 1, 2024, only the newly designed checks, as shown below, will be accepted by banks for clearing:
Standard date format (MM-DD-YYYY) accompanied by the guide below on how to fill it.
The Peso (₱) symbol is indicated in the amount box.
Ensure the signature is within the proper box.
The old checks with the design shown below will no longer be accepted starting May 1, 2024.
EXCEPT FOR THE FOLLOWING:
- Checks stamped or printed with the word ‘Warehoused’ on the back of post-dated checks that were warehoused in the banks before May 1, 2024.
- Manager’s/Cashier’s Checks. (issued by banks with a waiver statement.)
- Checks dated from November 4, 2023, to April 30, 2024, and presented for deposit or encashment within 179 days from the issue date.
